Hi! My name is James Ard and I'm a member of Team Hammerdog and would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been hunting for over 30 years and I love the sport of hunting. I have taken a few nice deer over the years and I hope to take many more. I'm a family man with a wife and two boys who love to hunt as much as I.
I work full time for the MDOT here in MS. I'm retired from the army guard with 24 years of service.I love god and country. I started hunting when I was 12 or 13. My father is not a hunter so I had to rely on my uncle to take me hunting all my life and I guess you would say he's the reason I'm hunting today.
I love to bowhunt most of all, but I try to "do it all" when it comes to deer hunting. We hunt a 650 acre spot that belongs to my uncle but I also like to hunt some public land close to my house. I started turkey hunting about three years ago, but have yet to get a bird. I love going to church and taking my family there. I believe this is how the family stays together.
I have been working for MDOT for almost 20 years and I love my job, but I love hunting more. I hope some day that I can make a living at hunting. I truly hope as member of Team Hammerdog that it will come true for all of us.
