HOBBIES; I enjoy doing taxidermy on my days off. I have been doing this for the past 20 yrs.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends in the outdoors.

HUNTING BACKGROUND: I started hunting at around the age of 10 when my dad purchased me my first shotgun, a 410. We lived in the country and had only 4 acres with surrounding fields that I had permission to hunt on. The only game that I can remember hunting was rabbits and blackbirds. Later on as I became older my brother would bring me along on some duck hunts with him and his friends, which I really enjoyed.

It wasn't until age 18 that I went on a deer hunt. The hunt was in Mississippi and I harvested four bucks that first year (yeah, you could say I was hooked). I started turkey hunting in 1992 in MS. And have found a new obsession. So far I have been fortunate to take two of the five sub-species, Eastern and Rio Grande. The Rio Grande had three beards. My goal is to hunt all five someday and get the grand slam.

Me, my wife and daughter have had some fun hunts on our deer lease in Mississppi. Some of those hunts I have captured on film. I also have been fortunate to go on elk hunts in Colorado and Canada having harvested a very nice 5x5 bull with my bow in Meeker Co. My wife and I had a great hunt together on our honeymoon  ( BELIEVE IT OR NOT GUYS IT WAS HER IDEA)as we went to Quebec Canada as we both harvested very nice Quebec/Labrodor Caribou.

I love the challenge of  bowhunting but also enjoy hunting with rifle, muzzleloader or video camcorder. My wife did not grow up hunting but has really loved the sport, even bowhunting. She has harvested several deer with her rifle and one hog with her bow.
